Nigerians Arise

My Mission

Goals

To promote more effective ways to bring peace, justice and well-being to the world in cooperation with others.
To provide a framework for storing and disseminating all the information necessary to steer Nigerians on a rational course to democracy, peace, and well-being and away from the chaos of our current course.
To expose the truth.
To provide voter education information for the 2007 election.
To empower like-minded people who are trying to take America in a positive direction.

Policies

Participants are encouraged to post intelligent, reasoned discussions, viewpoints, and proposals rather than content that flames or disparages the intentions of anyone.
This will be a moderated blog and we are looking for moderators to volunteer.

Philosophy

Responsible Behavior is behavior that we can be proud of afterwards no matter what another person has done or said. No one else's actions justify our own. If we tell untrue stories about someone else's actions to justify our own, then we are not behaving responsibly. We are responsible for controlling our own words and actions, no matter how we think or feel, and no matter what anyone else has done. The most out-of-control persons are those who focus on controlling the behavior of others rather than themselves. No one is perfect. We all make mistakes and we need to forgive ourselves and others, and continue to do our best and enjoy life.

Communication is difficult under the best of circumstances. It is difficult to know what others are thinking or feeling, so we communicate, treating others with respect by listening to what they have to say, and make an effort to suspend our own point of view to understand their point of view. Name-calling destroys communications. Imagining that we know what another person thinks without asking them or listening to them is delusional. To perceive accurately, we are aware that there is a difference between our own thoughts and what others think, feel, do and say.

Truth empowers all good persons to solve problems and improve the well-being of all. Uncovering the truth is necessary to empower everyone with the knowledge we need to solve the world's problems and have a happier, more healthful, peaceful life.

Possibilities

There are many more solutions than there are problems. There are many excellent solutions to our problems that will increase well-being, peace, and democracy and solve the problems of terrorism at the same time.
Truth is Better will help people spread information to coordinate their efforts.
ARISE NIGERIANS

Arise aganist Obasanjo.

I created this against the back drop of what is happening in Nigeria right now. The reason I created the site, was because I was sick and tired of what OBASANJO IS doing to my country. This was (and still is) real political activism, not the kind of political activism you first think of when you think about activism but political activism of the 21st century. Instead of holding up a sign in front of city hall I went to the computer and threw together some ills of OBASANJO, and I believe that after a few weeks this page will really stare some reactions. I truly believe this is the future of political activism.

Here are the top 3 main reason why I will continue to this page....

The economy/taxes/national debt. I'm extremely concerned about the economy because it's my future. This president likes to put everything on the credit card. One of the cool things about being president is that you never have to pay off your cards. This means that the national INFLATION can just keep going up and up and up and up and up and OBASANJO will never have to deal with it. Thats my job. As a young nIGERIAN I'm going to have to pay off the bad policies of what I like to call the "Obasanjo's wasrting years." I have to pay the bills along with all of my friends my age. So let me plead to Obasanjo here.... Please, please go, go, go now! If your wondering where to start living your post distruction era, let me help you. You could start by rebuilding the prisons because you are going back to where you came from.
